Key IVR are happy to announce that Nabuh Energy have made our first mobile payment app available to their customers, allowing them to top-up gas and electric pre-pay smart meters from their smartphone, at any time and no matter where they are. Nabuh Energy are a new domestic gas and electricity company, committed to delivering a quality utilities service that supports the latest technology, increasing convenience and efficiency for its customers.
Key IVR are working closely with Nabuh Energy to ensure their customers have the ability to top-up and manage their household gas and electric supply from a range of convenient payment channels, including on their Apple iPhone and Android smartphones with a fully branded, PCI compliant and personalised mobile app.
The first release of the app will enable users to create an account, update contact details, top-up their household energy supply by credit or debit card, and view a detailed history of top-up transactions. Future versions of the app are already in development, set to further increase the usability by adding a range of additional features to benefit their customers.
Sophie Chan, Account Manager at Key IVR said:
“It’s been a pleasure to produce our first utilities mobile app for Nabuh. They came to us with the ambition to provide their customers a variety of self-service payment options. However, not everyone wants to pay over the phone or on the web, so with the ease of access and convenience of smartphones, the payment app was a logical choice.”
As a start-up organisation, Nabuh Energy came to Key IVR with the requirement for a payment solution that would allow them to securely process Card Not Present (CNP) transactions at any time, 24/7, 365 days a year, without the need for a call agent or staff member to intervene. In addition to the secure mobile payment app, Key IVR provided a self-service Payment IVR, Web Payment page and Click-To-Pay solution, ensuring their customers had a variety of payment options when choosing how to manage their accounts and top-up their gas and electric smart-meters. All services are hosted on a PCI Level 1 v4.0 compliant payments platform, processing transactions outside Nabuh Energy’s corporate network and protecting payment card information from risk of exposure and malicious cyber-attacks.
Nabuh Energy took advantage of the omni-channel benefit the interlaced payment services provided – any credit or debit payment card could be securely saved against the customer’s account and made available for use over the phone, via the app or on the web. Omni-channel is an effective way of increasing payment conversion and customer convenience. With all channels working seamlessly together, no matter how a customer chooses to pay, Nabuh Energy are able to offer a user-friendly, consistent payment experience.
The self-service Payment IVR allows Nabuh Energy customers to call a dedicated telephone number where they will be directed to the correct auto attendant. After validating their details, the customer can choose the amount they wish to top-up and pay with either a new or saved card. The Web Payment service provides a similar experience, on a fully branded, secure web page which is compatible with all computers, tablets and smartphones.
The Click to Pay solution works very differently. Nabuh Energy can send their customers a personalised SMS or email, notifying them that they are due to make a payment. The message contains a link which opens up the secure web payment page. The information is prefilled, so the customer only needs to enter their card details or use saved card details to complete payment, further simplifying the process.
Daily reporting and smart-meter API integration allows for any of the self-service payment channels to look up customers account details, instantly top-up their gas or electricity supply and provide a series of automated daily reports to Nabuh Energy’s departments.
