What are ACH or Nacha payments?

ACH (Automated Clearing House) payments are electronic transfers between bank accounts, commonly used in the United States for routine transactions. They allow for the seamless transfer of money directly from one bank account to another without the need for physical checks, credit cards, or cash.

ACH payments are often used for recurring payments like bills, salaries, and subscriptions, offering a convenient and efficient way to manage regular financial transactions. There are currently 2 types of ACH Payment processes:

Standard ACH: Payments are processed in batches and can take 1-3 business days to clear.

Same Day ACH: The payment process is much faster within the ACH Network, designed to enable payments to be sent and received at optimal speed within the same business day. The settlement is done four times per business day.
