Secure card payments for your agents, no matter what 8×8 plan you’re on

Agents using the 8×8 contact centre and communications solution can take secure credit and debit card payments over the phone, compliant to PCI-DSS Level 1 v4.0 – the highest industry standard.

Available on all 8×8 Unified Communications (UC) and 8×8 Contact Center (CC) plans.

The integration ensures that your agents, the 8×8 solution, call-recording systems, and network environments remain out of PCI scope, simplifying compliance.


How it Works

  1. Agents are talking to the customer using the 8×8 solution. They also have the Key IVR Agent Assisted Payments dashboard open.
  2. When the customer is ready to make a payment, the agent can continue the conversation on a new, secure call. All within a few seconds, by either:
    1. Pressing the embedded 8×8 button within the secure agent payment screen (Available on 8×8 Contact Center plans).
    2. Speed dialling the Key IVR secure payments platform from their 8×8 window, triggering a warm transfer (Available on 8×8 Unified Communications plans).
  3. Agent stays in conversation with the customer and payment details can be captured by keypad entry, secure voice recognition or digital payment link.
  4. Once the payment is complete, the agent can end the call with the customer.
