Here at Key IVR, our Project Managers have a diverse mixture of knowledge and skills enabling them to oversee the successful deployment of current and ongoing projects. No day is ever the same and with tight deadlines to meet, their proactive work ethic and determination to reach the end goal is essential.
Margaret Green started her role as a Key IVR Project Manager in May 2017, assisting in the launch of new clients and management of existing clients.
- When did you start working at Key IVR?
It was around May 2017, I’d just finished university and needed something different. The job revolved around my already established expertise, but in a completely different industry, so it seemed like an interesting venture. - What does your role involve?
My main responsibilities are to look after any current or ongoing projects. This involves meeting tight deadlines, creating project plans and helping our clients through the development process to ensure everything goes the way it needs to. - What is your favourite part about working for Key IVR?
Being a relatively small company, the working environment is great and everyone’s pretty close to one another. Plus, it’s local to my home so my commute is much easier!
- What have you gained from working at Key IVR?
Extensive experience in project management which has dramatically improved in the time I’ve been here. I’ve also gained much better IT skills and valuable knowledge on payment solutions. - What makes you proud to work at Key IVR?
Watching projects progress over the finish line and become live makes all the hard work worthwhile; especially when you witness the service bring immediate benefits to our clients and improve the way they take payments. - What’s a standard day in the office like for you?
There isn’t really a standard day, with the variety of on-going projects no day is ever the same. We always focus on whatever needs prioritising and give it the most attention, it keeps the job interesting! - What do you like to do on your days off?
I really enjoy a good walk, it helps me relax and take my mind off things, but I also enjoy socialising with my friends, shopping or eating indulgent food. - Before working at Key IVR, what was the most unusual or interesting job you’ve ever had?
I once worked for a company that advertised for a Customer Operations Technician, but it never actually resulted in me interacting with any customers which I found a bit strange. I realised it was basically a fancy name for a job doing repetitive office admin. - What is the best vacation you’ve ever been on?
South East Asia was amazing and was like an extended holiday. I was travelling for around 4 months and the weather was amazing the entire time. The best experience I had was riding a motorbike trail called Hải Vân Pass in Vietnam, it’s known for having the best views in the world and it did not disappoint!
- Tell us something about yourself that would surprise us.
When I was younger I used to be a gymnast and even performed in shows. But after a hip injury at the age of 16, I never really recovered and was forced to stop. - What music is on your phone?
Everything! From reggae to rock, 90’s trance and I love 80’s music. - Where is your favourite place to eat?
There was a gorgeous Italian restaurant in Spain called Restaurante Giacomo. They did the best mussels, bruschetta and the steak was perfect! I can’t wait to go back.
